Absolutely don't use your credit card to pay your tax bill unless the money is in your bank account to pay your balance owing in full by the due date. As a merchant I am not allowed to charge my customers the equivalent of the transaction fee but I guess CRA can get around the rules because they are government and the costs would be the tax payers. Once again 2 sets of rules! By the way - those points cards cost the merchant significantly more than basic credit cards so know that the cost of the goods and services including processing costs are being passed along to the customers. Nothing is really free, so use debit when ever possible (a small flat fee is charged per transaction regardless of the amount, not a percentage of the transaction as with credit cards) - especially when dealing with small local businesses - they will thank you!

Ellen, do not dispair. Many people are in your situation. Congratulations on becoming debt free. The next step is to look at other financial goals you may have. I suggest contacting Credit Canada to sign up for our Financial Coaching Series. This will not only help you manage your budget but also look at reasons for your spending, and help with goal setting and saving strategies. Good luck!

Each person who wears any piece of jewelry such as a necklace, bracelet, earring, or ring, most of the time wears that jewelry/s to signify something that happened in his or her life. In addition, all of these handbags are in not a way costly. A plastron, which is a half-jacket worn under the jacket to protect the chest, upper arm and underarm of the fencer's weapon hand, is mandatory. With your favorite metallic pumps, this look will work in the winter, spring, summer, or fall months with ease. maillot de foot pas cher

Sue, sorry to hear your experience was not positive. That is disheartening. I think in situations like this it could have been a one off and perhaps not representative of the whole organization. I know that the feedback I have received on organizations such as this one and others have been positive but of course nothing is perfect. I do appreciate your comments and hope that others do not have a similar experience!

Well, I went to a "Dress for Success" event at a church in the west end of Toronto. It was the first one I've ever been to. Can't remember now exactly where it was, but it was north of Bloor off Spadina, if I remember correctly. Anyway, I was never so disgusted in my life. I went with a friend, and we both just looked at each other, after we had looked through all the piles of really well used and dirty clothing, and there was nothing, not a thing that would be considered "interview clothing", and walked out. We were there maybe 20 minutes. We both kept hoping we'd find something, but there wasn't one thing either of us would have taken from that place. I was actually afraid to touch any of the clothing, for fear of what I might pick up. Good thing I had my hand sanitizer with me! It would all have had to be fumigated then dry cleaned, before you could have worn it. And the stains on some of the clothing was unbelievable. I myself, in years gone by, have donated a lot of clothing to various places, and not once have I ever, ever, donated anything that was stained or dirty or so old no one would want it. What is wrong with people?!?!? Maybe I attended a bad one, I don't know, but it has sure left a bad taste in my mouth for the supposed "Dress for Success" charity!
