So true, I think every home town city has a great wealth of activities and events to offer. Often they are free or very cheap. Sometimes these can be the best family outings and vacations as you do not have stress of packing and travelling. And what a great way to save money!

We love to go places but we also like to stay home and do things there as a family. There are many local things that we never get to do that with some time off at work would allow us to do here locally and save a lot of money. So even though it is fun traveling to far off places sometimes it just makes better financial sense to do something a little different.
