it too late to chop my spending. my wife and i had tried desperately to save and now we've allowed credit cards to replace loans we didn't qualify for. And we have loans because we maxed our credit cards to pay bills. we have a lean on our mortgage and creditors calling. i don't answer the phone anymore. i can't even afford to run away. that's just the end result of trying to help our 3 sons get through school and live in northwest ontario. need lots of help now.

Thanks for the timely post. I watched you on BNN today and your enthusiasm for money management education is contagious. Having been poor at managing money before, and having improved a lot (zero debt, pay cash for everything, decent savings), I appreciate your frank, forceful and to-the-point advice on how to be judicious when it comes to spending money and eliminating debt.
